HOW IT WORKS
Get a Quote
Please email us with the required alterations, your deadline, and a brief description of the fit issues. Note: if more details are required, will will contact you.
Booking Fee
The booking fee is $250, waived with a minimum spend of $600. Consider multiple garments or a group booking.

This does not include add-on services (e.g. drycleaning, mending, consignment)
Tailor comes to you
Our tailor will arrive fully equipped with all the tools needed to ensure your garments are perfectly fitted.

50% Deposit
After the fitting, the tailor will provide a detailed invoice and require a minimum 50% deposit before commencing work.

Note:
Dry cleaning and mending costs will be estimates as these services are outsourced.
Working at The Atelier
An 'atelier' is a tailoring workshop where your tailor will craft, oversee and quality-check your items with meticulous attention to detail. They will maintain communication with you and address queries that may arise during this process.
Price Variations
As with any trade, unforeseen issues may arise. Your tailor will address resolve these as needed.
Final Fitting
The Tailor will return with all of your alterations, mending, dry cleaning completed and organised for you to inspect and try on.

Final Payment
Final Payment of the bill is required at the end of the fitting.
If any further work is required, You and your Tailor will agree on a timely resolution.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Venue of appointment:
​

The venue may be your home or office.

It must include a mirror and private area for changing (changing in front of the tailor is not permitted).

Parking must be available for the tailor or parking expenses will be added to the invoice.

Booking Fees:
​​​​

A $250 is required to book your Tailor. This amount is applied toward the total price if you spend over $600 on tailoring.

Fees may be higher for appointments outside the Greater Brisbane area.

Refundable only if cancelled at least 24 hours prior.

Rescheduling is allowed, subject to availability.

Once work is pinned and agreed on, cancellations on those items may not be permitted. ​​

At the end of the first fitting, the tailor will calculate costs with detailed fitting notes and photos (including documentation of wear and tear, if necessary).

A 50% deposit is required before work begins.

Group Bookings:

​​Group bookings are welcome for weddings, formal events, or gatherings of friends or colleagues.

Work is collected and returned to the venue of the person who made the original booking, who must be present.

All group members must attend the initial consultation, fittings, and handover. If someone misses a fitting, a good fit cannot be guaranteed.

Group members may pay for their services separately on individual invoices.

Re-Dos and Adjustments:

We do not offer free 're-dos' for a client's change of mind or size. Items are pinned accurately the first time with detailed notes.

If you lose or gain weight between appointments, any required changes will be considered new jobs and charged accordingly. (weight loss, gain, bulking, post-gym muscular 'pump', shredding, holding water due to hormonal changes or stress).

Changing your mind about fit or requested alterations constitutes a new job and will also incur additional charges.

In the unlikely event that the work is considered to be incomplete, it will be corrected at no extra cost. The garment will be returned or mailed as agreed.

Final Payment:

Payment is required at the second fitting for all completed items.

If additional work is needed on an item, payment for that item may be delayed until completion.

A final fitting is essential to ensure the highest quality tailoring service.

If a customer opts to forgo the final fitting and requests the garments be mailed, the invoice must be paid in full prior to shipping, including postage costs.

Any future alterations will be treated as new work and charged accordingly

Concerns about mailed items must be raised within 7 days of delivery. Without a final fitting, clients are responsible for any further alterations needed.

Add-On Services
​
These are additional (outsourced) services and are not included in the minimum $600 tailoring spend.

Invisible or Knit Mending
​

Items taken for quotes can be cancelled if you disagree with the quote or suggested outcome. Your tailor will guide you on what fits within this category.
Dry Cleaning
​

Dry cleaning is an additional service, not a stand-alone offering.
-
A 10% commission is earned by us, as agreed with the dry cleaner.

Our trusted dry cleaner provides excellent work and communication on risks and outcomes.
-
Tailors inspect items post-cleaning and may request a redo at no cost if unsatisfied.
-
If the cleaner deems the cleaning "as good as it gets," payment is still required.
-
Clients are responsible for stains or damage that cannot be removed and must pay for the cleaning regardless of the outcome.
